A new idea I have for a race of tiny rock people, akin to Smurfs. They live in smaller groups, travel from mine to mine to get the precious metals they like. Males eat the metal and grow a crystal from their head which in turn female eat. Enemies of the Gr'velkin include other mythical beasts who compete for the metals (like dragons for gold) or human miners (like Jimmy over there) who don't look to kindly to their profit being eaten.
